Hartlepool Britain's Got Talent finalist Danny Posthill making a big impression in panto
Impressionist Danny, who reached the final of Britain’s Got Talent in 2015, is playing Wishy Washy in Aladdin at Leyburn in North Yorkshire.
It is the second year in a row the 33-year-old has appeared in the panto staged at The Garden Rooms at Tennants Auction House.

Hide AdPanto is a departure from Danny’s more adult-themed stand up show, but he says he loves entertaining families.
“It’s a big mix of stuff; there’s comedy for the kids and adults, as well as singing, dancing and all the shouting out,” he said.
“We get everyone from babies to 90 years old. When you see them all laughing together as a family it’s beautiful.
“People come up to you saying it was one of the funniest shows they’ve ever seen.”

Hide AdProducer and director Jacqueline Turnbull invited Danny to star in the show back in January after impressing as Buttons in AJ Productions’ Cinderella last year.
And she has tailored the script to allow Danny to show off his impressions of people such as Prime Minister Boris Johnson and US President Donald Trump.
Danny, who staged his first show at this year’s Edinburgh Festival, added: “It’s a fast-paced show with singing dancing quick-fire gags, hilarious sketches, and brilliant slapstick. Something for all the family which can be hard to get right but AJ does it brilliantly.”
This re-imagining of a Aladdin features a set designed by the Great British Panto Awards best-set winner Harrogate theatre and costumes designed by award-winning designers.

“Why go to London to find panto performers when the best in the world is right on your doorstep.
“This year I am thrilled to have Danny as a part of our company, he will bring an extra sprinkle of magic to what already has the ingredients to be a spectacular show including Great British Panto Award nominee Luke Adamson and the Dame of the Dale’s herself Gary Martin Davis.”
Aladdin is on until Sunday, December 29. For full details and to book visit www.ajproductions.tv
