Nine-year-old Keisha Watson was diagnosed with leukaemia when she was only four-years-old and is being treated at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary.
She received a bone marrow transplant 18 months ago – but was told in August that the treatment had failed and she would need more chemotherapy.

Keisha’s mum, Natalie Watson, 35, said: “It was overwhelming she just didn’t think about herself,
“She’s always been a caring person, everything that was going on and she just cared about other people, even after what she had just gone through.”
Due to her condition Keisha has been isolated for a number of months, and was unable to have contact with her family while in hospital.

Keisha has now returned home but remains in isolation and is only allowed around her mum, dad Ryan Young and her five siblings.
She is under strict care and supervision and when out in public has to wear and mask and cannot interacting with strangers.
Natalie added: “Now that’s she’s out of hospital all she could think about was the other children and what they would get for Christmas.

“Then other people started getting in touch and it just went viral.”
Keisha handed in more than 300 selection boxes to the children’s cancer ward on Thursday, November 21.
Natalie added: “I just want to say thank you to everyone who donated a selection box it’s made one of her wishes come true.”
