Centenarians Maisie Rymer and Rose Caffery have both proudly received their jabs at the town’s Charlotte Grange Care Home – and now they are encouraging other people to make sure they do not miss out on the chance to be immunised as soon as they are offered the chance of receiving the vaccine.
Maisie, 103, and 100-year-old Rose have both already had the virus, but thankfully have made full recoveries and are now fighting fit once more.

Wendy Nicholson is manager at Charlotte Grange Care Home, which has now vaccinated all its residents: “It’s great that everyone at Charlotte Grange has now been vaccinated,” she said.
"It feels like we finally have light at the end of the tunnel.”
Maisie and Rose had been delighted to be offered the chance to have the jab and keen to get the message out to people about the importance of being vaccinated.
