Boy stabbed in Hartlepool after gang chase

A boy was stabbed after he was chased by a gang following a row while playing football.

The 16-year-old victim needed medical treatment following the attack with an unknown weapon outside The Sports Domes, in Seaton Carew, on Friday, February 14, at 5.30pm.

A Cleveland Police statement said: “The victim had been playing in a football game at The Sports Domes, on Tees Road.

“After a verbal alternation, the boy was chased out of The Sports Domes by a group of males and was assaulted.

“The boy received treatment for his injury at Hartlepool Urgent Care. His injuries are not life threatening.

“Officers would appeal for anyone who may have dash cam footage from anyone dropping off or picking up from The Domes or any witnesses to contact them.”
