Michael Phillips murder trial: Judge continues to sum up case before jury will retire to discuss verdicts

The judge will continue summing up the case to jurors before they will retire to make a verdict on all seven men charged with murder.

Michael Phillips died on the evening of Monday, June 10, 2019, following an attack inside a house in Rydal Street in the town.

He had sustained more than 50 injuries in the assault, including a number a fracture to his skull and fractured ribs and internal bleeding in his torso.

Despite emergency services trying for 40 minutes to save him, Mr Phillips sadly died.

Seven men are standing trail at Teesside Crown Court charged with the 39-year-old's murder.
