Teen arrested after 16-year-old boy stabbed near the Sports Domes in Hartlepool

Cleveland Police says a 16-year-old boy was stabbed near The Sports Domes on Tees Road on Friday, February 14 at around 5.30pm.
The boy’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Officers say the victim was chased by a group of males after a row broke out while he was playing football and assaulted with an unknown weapon.

Hide AdThey say the boy needed medical treatment following the attack and was taken to the urgent care facility at the University Hospital of Hartlepool.
Police have now arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with the incident and he remains in custody to be questioned.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “The victim had been playing in a football game at The Sports Domes on Tees Road. After a verbal alternation, the boy was chased out of The Sports Domes by a group of males and was assaulted.
“The boy received treatment for his injury at Hartlepool Urgent Care. His injuries are not life threatening.

Police have appealed for dash cam footage from anyone dropping off or picking up from The Domes or any witnesses to contact them.
