Woman taken to hospital with injuries after being hit by vehicle in Hartlepool

Police received reports of a woman with injuries on Rossmere Way, Hartlepool, around 12.30am this morning, Monday, March 15.
The 39-year-old woman was found with neck and back injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening, and was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton, before being released from hospital later.

Hide AdA 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and he remains in police custody.
Police officers and a crime scene investigation team remained at the scene on mid-morning on Monday with a police cordon remaining in place.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to a report of a woman with injuries on Rossmere Way, Hartlepool, around 12.30am this morning, Monday, 15th March.
"A 39-year-old woman was found with neck and back injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

Hide Ad"The woman was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees to be checked over and was later released from hospital.
“The injuries are believed to have been caused when the woman was hit by a vehicle.
"A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and he remains in police custody at this time.
"Inquiries are ongoing and officers would ask anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Detective Sergeant Brown from Cleveland Police on 101, quoting incident number 040133.”
