Avoid the area police plea as officers prepare for 7,500 cricket fans to head for North East ground
Durham Constabulary issued the warning ahead of the fixture tomorrow, Tuesday, June 29, when England play Sri Lanka in the One Day International at the Emirates Riverside Stadium at Chester-le-Street from 11am.
The force has said with approximately 7,500 supporters expected to attend the match, the first in the Royal London Series, its officers will be on patrol throughout the day.

Hide AdA spokesperson added: “For those attending the event, please allow extra time for travel and plan your journey and parking before the day.
"Those not going to the match are advised to avoid the area if possible and find alternative routes.
"The weather forecast looks good so enjoy the game and don’t forget your sun cream.”
