Middlesbrough FC fans warned to expect travel issues ahead of Charlton Athletic match
Cleveland Police has issued advice to fans heading to London for the game this Saturday, March 7, which is set to kick off at 3pm at The Valley.
It has said Charlton Station will be closed due to engineering work this weekend, leaving visitors to find alternative routes to the area.

Hide AdThe closure means there will be no trains connecting Lewisham, New Cross and Charlton and while a bus replacement service will be operating, this will only consist of one double-decker bus every half an hour.
The force suggests the nearest tube station on the London Underground is North Greenwich, on the Jubilee Line from London Bridge.
On foot, the same journey will take 40 minutes or a bus service will take 20 minutes.
Charlton has also issued information to fans.

Hide AdIt said: “Ahead of the home fixture vs Middlesbrough on Saturday, March 7, supporters should be aware that there will be no train services to Charlton station due to planned engineering works.
“A rail replacement bus service will run between Lewisham and Plumstead via New Cross and Greenwich but is expected to be busy. Fans are advised to leave early or find an alternative route.”
The initial allocation of tickets for Boro fans was 2,000 – 1,550 have been sold so far.
